Natural hair conditioner bar
Starling’s natural hair conditioner bar is so great thanks to the combination of raw materials in the recipe. Its base is BTMS - a surfactant with caring and emulsifying properties. Betaine supports it in gentle removal of impurities, which also has a softening and conditioning effect. Thanks to these two ingredients, the bar can work well as a cosmetic co-wash (i.e. a product for washing hair with a conditioner) or as a component in the washing process using the CWC (Conditioner-Washing-Conditioner) method. In turn, cetyl alcohol has a smoothing and softening effect, and at the same time adds a characteristic glide to the bar and perfectly thickens and stabilizes the product. In addition, it has film-forming and occlusive effect, thus preventing excessive water loss leading to drying of the hair and the scalp.
The bar has a beneficial mix of oils: safflower, sesame and peanut. This composition as its main goal sets a maximum nourishment, strengthening and protection of the hair against excessive loss of moisture, hair loss and harmful external factors. Thanks to them, your hair will become healthy, dense and beautifully shiny. The aloe juice moisturizes and regenerates, and also has toning and bactericidal properties. Moreover, it helps to soothe inflammations and all types of irritation. It regulates the secretion of sebum, too, thanks to which the hair would become greasy more slowly (this effect is further enhanced by the addition of green clay and a macerate from horsetail, which by the way works revitalizing and is, usually in a duet with nettle, a good mate of every hair maniac). When using the conditioner at the root, aloe vera is also able to help improve the blood supply of the scalp, which in turn can result in the faster growth and the appearance of the long-awaited baby hair.
Apart from aloe vera, provitamin B5, i.e. D-panthenol, is also responsible for the soothing effect of the conditioner. It has strong hygroscopic (water binding) properties, thanks to which it prevents its excessive drainage.
How to use it? If applying it to your hair straight from your hand seems ineffective, you can try gently (!) to move with this smooth disc from the root to the tips. But remember - don't rub your hair. We know from experience and tests that a larger amount of the product can also be obtained by soaping the tips with a disc, but we do not recommend this method for delicate, brittle and tangled hair. To sum up – try it several times and simply choose the way that is the most convenient and the most effective for you.
